The Company tab in Settings is where you maintain your firm’s profile: registration codes, certifications, capabilities, contract vehicles, logo, and key documents. MERIT uses this information across company profiles, event participation, and other workspace features.
Editing access depends on your plan and company permissions. Free-tier users and read-only teammates may see a read-only view. If you see a View plans button, upgrade your plan to unlock editing. If you do not see editing controls, contact your company owner.

Company identity

These fields establish who your firm is and what you do.
  • Company Name — your legal or operating business name
  • Website — your firm’s domain or public URL
  • Agencies Served — select all federal agencies your firm actively pursues or has worked with
  • Company Overview — a short description of your company’s mission and services, shown on your partner profile
Text fields save automatically as you type. Selectors, capabilities, documents, logos, invite codes, and contract vehicles use their own controls.

Government codes

Keeping these codes accurate is critical — MERIT uses them for company verification and data lookups.
  • DUNS Number — your 9-digit Dun & Bradstreet identifier
  • CAGE Code — your 5-character Commercial and Government Entity code
  • UEI — your 12-character Unique Entity Identifier from SAM.gov
Your UEI helps MERIT associate your company with government contracting records where available. Make sure it is filled in and accurate.
  • NAICS Codes — select every NAICS code your firm actively pursues from the multi-select dropdown
Add the NAICS codes your firm genuinely competes under, not just your primary code. Accurate codes make your company profile easier to understand across MERIT.

Capabilities and certifications

  • Core Capabilities — type a capability (e.g., “Cloud Migration” or “DevSecOps”) and select Add to add it as a badge. Use the X on a badge to remove it.
  • Certifications — select relevant certifications from the list (up to 15).
  • Self-Certifications — select certifications your firm self-reports (not third-party verified)

Contract vehicles

Add the active government contract vehicles your company currently holds, such as GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and other multi-award vehicles. You can also select None if your company does not hold any contract vehicles. Click Upload New Logo to add your company logo. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WebP — maximum 5 MB. MERIT may compress supported image uploads. For best results, use a square PNG with a transparent background, at least 400×400 pixels. If a logo already exists, a Remove button appears next to the upload option.

Capability statements

Upload PDF capability statements that describe your firm’s offerings and past performance summary.
  • Maximum 10 files, up to 10 MB each
  • Each uploaded document shows its original filename and upload date
  • Use the View button to preview a document or Delete to remove it
If a DSBS capability statement is available for your company, it may appear in this section. You can still upload additional documents manually.

Past performance documents

Upload past performance write-ups, PPQs, or reference letters in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format.
  • Maximum 10 files, up to 10 MB each
  • Each document shows its filename and upload date
  • Use View or Delete per document as needed

Team invitations

Company owners and admins can generate invite codes so teammates can join the company workspace on MERIT. Share a code or invite link with a colleague; they can use it during signup to join your company. See Team access for a full walkthrough of inviting teammates and managing permissions.
