The Matchmaking Hub helps program hosts run structured matchmaking events for prime contractors, small businesses, agencies, and partner organizations. Hosts can manage event setup, participant intake, attendee visibility, meeting schedules, networking activity, and post-event reporting from one event workspace. For attendees, the Hub provides a practical event experience: join the event, review your meeting schedule, discover relevant companies, exchange contact information with QR networking, and keep track of the people you met.

Who the Matchmaking Hub is for

The Hub serves two distinct user groups: the organizations that run matchmaking programs, and the contractors who attend them. Program and event hosts — including APEX Accelerators, OSDBU offices, chambers of commerce, industry associations, and private event organizers — use MERIT to prepare events, manage attendees, coordinate meeting activity, and review event outcomes. Contractors — including prime contractors, small businesses, mentors, proteges, and other participants — use the attendee experience to access event details, view meetings, browse participating companies, and capture connections during the event.

Core capabilities

Hosts can manage event details, attendee access, organizer views, and the operational pieces needed to run a structured matchmaking program.
Participants can appear in the event directory with company information, capabilities, and contact details that help other attendees understand who they are meeting.
Depending on how the event is configured, MERIT can support proposed matches, meeting requests, schedule review, and organizer-managed meeting activity.
Attendees can use QR codes to exchange contact information during the event and keep a record of the companies they connected with.
Organizers can review attendee activity, meeting activity, schedule utilization, and exportable event data for follow-up and internal reporting.

How attendees use the Hub

Most attendees use the Matchmaking Hub before, during, and after the event:
  1. Join the event from the event link or event code provided by the host.
  2. Review event details and any meetings or proposed matches available for the event.
  3. Browse participating companies and prepare for relevant conversations.
  4. Use QR networking to exchange contact information during the event.
  5. Review your meetings and connections after the event so follow-up does not disappear into a spreadsheet.
Available tabs and actions may vary by event. Hosts decide which matchmaking, scheduling, and networking tools are enabled for their program.

Availability and pricing

Event access depends on the event and your account status. If you are invited to a MERIT-supported matchmaking event, use the event link or event code from the host to join and access the attendee tools enabled for that event.
The MERIT team works directly with program hosts on event setup and scheduling configuration. Contact MERIT at meritmatch.io/host-event to get started.
