You can create your account at meritmatch.io. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to meritmatch.io and click Get started. Enter your work email, choose a password, and confirm it. Your password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. The strength meter must reach Strong before you can continue. Prefer a faster start? Click Sign in with Google to skip the password step entirely.
Use your company email address — it helps teammates find the right workspace when they sign up.

Step 2: Connect your company

After creating your account, MERIT asks you to connect to a company. This is step 2 of 2 in the signup flow. How you complete this step depends on your situation.
Search for your company by name. MERIT shows matching company records when they are available.Click your company’s card to select it.Don’t see your company? Click Company Not Found? Create New Company, type your company name, and MERIT creates a fresh workspace for you. You become the workspace owner. Before finishing, check the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Complete Registration.

Step 3: Complete your personal profile

After signup you land on the pipeline dashboard. Head to Settings → Profile to fill in your personal information.

Step 4: Complete your company profile

Go to Settings → Company to fill in your firm’s information. A complete company profile helps MERIT provide better opportunity context, partner context, and workspace records. Company information:
  • Company name and website - keep these current so teammates recognize the workspace
  • Agencies served - list agencies your firm has worked with or actively pursues
  • Company overview - summarize what your firm does and who you serve
Government codes:
  • UEI - your Unique Entity Identifier from SAM.gov
  • CAGE Code - your Commercial and Government Entity code
  • DUNS Number - your Dun & Bradstreet identifier
  • NAICS Codes - add the codes your firm actively pursues
Capabilities and credentials:
  • Core Capabilities - plain-language descriptions of what your firm does
  • Certifications and self-certifications - add the designations your team uses in federal contracting
  • Contract vehicles - add relevant contract vehicles when they apply
Documents and logo:
  • Company Logo - upload the logo your team wants to use in MERIT
  • Capability Statements - upload current capability statement PDFs
  • Past Performance Documents - upload past performance write-ups in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format
Start with UEI and NAICS Codes if you have them. They make company context and opportunity workflows more useful.

Step 5: Invite your team

If you are on a paid plan with more than one seat, you can invite teammates by generating an invite code.
1

Generate an invite code

Go to Settings → Company and scroll to Invite Team Members. Click Generate Invite Code. A unique code is created.
2

Share the code

Copy the invite code and send it to your teammate — by email, Slack, or however your team communicates. There is no email invite sent automatically.
3

Teammate signs up and enters the code

Your teammate goes to meritmatch.io, creates an account, and enters the invite code on the company selection screen. They join your workspace automatically.
4

Assign a seat

New teammates join with read-only access. The workspace owner can go to Settings → Billing to see the member list and click Assign seat next to a teammate’s name.
You can generate multiple invite codes and manage active codes from Settings → Company.

Access levels

MERIT has two access levels for workspace members:
Access levelWhat they can do
Full accessCreate and edit opportunities, use the Gate Tracker, run SAM searches, use the MERIT Assistant, manage documents and tasks
Read-onlyView the pipeline, Gate Tracker fields, documents, and tasks — no editing or creating
The workspace owner always has full access and manages billing and seat assignments. Company and invite controls appear in settings for users who have the right workspace permissions.
